I first recorded my showreel about this time last year and after a rather depressing couple of rounds of the perrenial "I'm sorry but our books are full", "We've just closed our books I'm afraid" etc etc responses, I must admit to pretty much losing hope.

I have been lucky I suppose to get a couple of pieces of voicework through my employers ( a voice over for a Post Office video we produced, a few sound bites, and the voice of God!), however it's not really been as much or anything like as easy as I had aniticpated I suppose.

I am quite keen to give the whole thing another shot but wonder if I should revamp my show reel, with some more up to date material?

Could anyone let me know what sort of currency there is in up to date reads, and also if its of benefit including a copy of the Post Office video along with the showreel when contacting agencies.

Any advice would be very welcome.
